Christmas Holidays
On Friday 21st December, the school will close for two weeks for the Christmas holidays. We would like to wish all of our staff, pupils and their families, a very Merry Christmas, when it comes, and a Happy New Year! We also say a sad farewell to our Mrs Bryce! We wish you all the best in your new adventure! You will be missed!

Pentland's Got Talent
The Music Leadership team organised and ran a school talent show on Wednesday 12th December. We were amazed at how many pupils came forward and took part! There was such a variety of talent and the atmosphere was amazing!! Thank you to Jamie Dow for hosting the event, Daniel Cowie for running all the technology, and of course our judges, Mr Steele and Mrs McLaughlin. The winners were, Kriss Gibson and Kyle Frew!! All the videos can be found on our Pentland Video album or by clicking here.

Chrismas Lunch

On Wendnesday 5th December, the whole school sat together for our christmas dinner. As we enjoyed our turkey and steak pie, the scouts peformed Rocking Around the Christmas Tree. The winners of the Chrismas card competition was also announced. Well done to Aiden (1st Place), Callum Govan (2nd Place) and Paul Gant (3rd Place).

Coatbridge Rover
We have been very lucky to have Coatbridge Rovers visiting the school on Wednesdays. They have been teaching the boys football skills, which has been enjoyed by all!

Mrs Quinn's class have been busy campaigning against litter. The boys have been watching videos showing the dangerous effect dropping litter can have on animals. They made leaflets, encouraging people to put their litter in the bin, and gave them out to members of the public at Drumpellier Park. Well done boys!

Junior Basketball
As part of there Sports Leadership, Barrie and Callum G, have started a Junior Basketball club on a Wedensday break. The boys are showing
excellent leadership and management skills.

Seven Lochs Projects
This week we started a 6 week project called Seven Lochs. We are working with an Outdoor Learning teacher, Claire Brady, who will lead us in activities at Drumpellier Park. Our first session was Halloween themed, and saw us making our own magic potions and magic wands. We cant til next week! Photos can be found here.

We have welcomed new scouts on to our team. We have been busy earning our Chef Badge by cooking on fire pit, even using oranges as little pots! Check out our Scouts photo album for weekly updates.

A warm welcome to our website.

I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of Pentland School.  A school that puts individual achievement and inclusion at the heart of everything it does.  We want every pupil to succeed, to achieve their full potential, be prepared for the future and become confident and responsible young people so they leave us prepared for the future challenges of an existing and increasingly global world.
Everything we do at Pentland School is designed to ensure that each child settles quickly into the life of the school and goes on to have a happy, fulfilling and successful time with us.
We are very fortunate to have a dedicated and highly professional team of teachers and support staff.  We expect the very highest standards from all pupils and our strong, whole school approaches ensure that pupils learn in a welcoming, safe and friendly environment where teachers teach and learners learn.
We want the very best for each of our pupils and our school motto “An open door to a brighter future” is a reality.  We encourage all stakeholders to get involved in the life of the school to ensure the supports are there to enhance the children’s educational journey.
We hope you enjoy looking through our website and if you wish, please contact us if you need any further information.

Once again, welcome.
